A quick catch up...... more on the way!!!
My birthday celebration at San Antonio Winery, Madelena Restaurant in Sept.  This is now one of my favorite family
and large group spots! It has something for everyone, is efficient and there is usually live music.  When we went for
G's b-day in Jan there was a live "roaming" sax player, it was really nice.  It was also already decorated for
Valentine's day.  I got the same thing I got for my b-day, the Salmon Salad. Thank you family!!!
Look at this gorgeous Thanksgiving feast! We had a good time working together in the kitchen and created all the classic
favorites for everyone to enjoy.  It was a smaller group, but very special and of course we all got our "to-go" bags!
I made the 2nd annual Pineapple Upside
Down Birthday Cake for our favorite
fisherman.  I like the rectangle shape!
Loose Goose Wine Festival Oct. 2008

I worked in the RSVP kitchen the day before the event then worked the booth
at the festival.  What a blast!  I loved it!  Hopefully I can do it again this year!
Me, my sissy and our grandma.
Behind the booth - where the action happens!
RSVP - Some great food! oh yeah, and wine!
Me and the awesome RSVP team.  Thanks guys!
After a long day on our feet serving food, we were treated to
amazingly fresh music from The Pete Escovedo Orchestra, I
think he's Sheila E's dad.  As you can see, everyone had a great
time dancing and sampling some fantastic wines.  They also
have beer! Check out the official
website.
November 2008
Inauguration Day 2009! A gorgeous day in L.A.  I walked Bridget over to Nokia after the crowd
had died down.   We met Jessica Holmes from KTLA.  So sweet, she said, "Cute Dog"!!
I guess 18 years deserves 18 lbs of Lobster and Crab!! Thank you Grandma!  Look at the size of that
baby!  Scrumptious! So fresh, tender, delicious and flavorful!  Stay tuned for the recipe for my Bisque!
A Very Bully Christmas!   We had a rainy Christmas day which was fun, especially for Bridget since that meant she
could come inside!  Our tree pose is a little fuzzy, but check her out looking out the window!! I ran outside to catch
the shot. You can see my car in the reflection!  A true joy to be able to share this day with our family.  Thank you.
There is so much more!! Please check back for updates.
These are my Beef Wellingtons I made for our other seasonal celebration.  I forgot the egg wash on top, so they aren't that "golden brown".  It was not
a hard recipe, just a lot of processes and techniques I've never done. My grandma used to make this growing up, she'll be proud I at least tried!  It
tasted delicious, but next time will look even more delicious!  I served it with mashed potatoes and baby broccoli along side Laura's famous sweet
potatoes. yum yum!   I made an English Trifle for dessert to keep the theme, "Retro/Old English-y". Oh, and the Retro Bleu Cheese Salad with bacon!
AMTRAK Union Station to Ventura.   A fun trip, made friends, saw sites, sat back and enjoyed the ride.  Check
out my "breakfast"! pretty sad, they need to work on the "food car"!  I'll make a full page out of this trip... stay tuned!
